Dr. Mohamed BELHAJ SOULAMI
Founder and Managing Director of the CLEAN TECH Company, Mr. Belhaj Soulami graduated as Engineer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques in Nancy, holds a Doctorate in Process Engineering from LSGC-CNRS of Nancy and a PhD in Process Engineering Sciences from UTC of Compiegne.
After teaching at UTC Compiegne, he returned to Morocco in 1984 and joined the National School of Mineral Industry in Rabat (ENIM), where he played a key role in setting up the Department of Process Engineering and Energy. He contributed to the training of 22 batches of State-engineers. In 1990, he became head of that department and, a year later, he set up the Process Engineering and Environment Laboratory for and led a team of teachers and post-graduate researchers.
Meanwhile, Mr. Belhaj Soulami developed partnerships and research agreements with French actors such as Lyonnaise des Eaux, SAPS etc ..., and acted as a Visiting Professor at UTC Compiegne and Ecole Polytechnique of Lausanne. His close relations with leading European industrial and academic stakeholders allowed him to be consistently ahead of the Moroccan market and to bring the best processes and clean technology solutions.
Other experiences allowed him to enjoy a reputation in the field of environment: he created and developed the activity of environmental studies for the INGEMA Company of Consulting Engineers, becoming now NOVEC, a subsidiary of CDG Development; he was national Expert Consultant for the WHO, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Health, in charge of hospital waste management and treatment; last, he was national Expert Consultant for UNDP, USAID, UNIDO and several other high-ranking international organizations.
In Morocco, Mr. Belhaj Soulami delivers many lectures on such issues as "Clean Development Mechanism and Climate Change" or again "Prevention of pollution through clean technologies." He is also involved in many workshops / seminars such as the one on "Energy efficiency of the services sector", as part of the Bativert fair.
His expertise of over 25 years covers all aspects related to the environment, sustainable development, optimization of industrial processes and clean technologies: treatment of municipal and industrial effluents, pollution prevention, energy efficiency, water & energy audits, environmental safety, CDM, renewable energies, etc.
Mr. Belhaj Soulami has to his credit more than fifty studies conducted for large national industries and many public stakeholders, which allowed him to make CLEAN TECH a reference company in the field of energy, water and the environment.
